CECEP (Leping) Photovoltaic Agricltural Science and Technology Co, .Ltd. combines new energy with modern agriclture. Using industrial means to promote the development of agriculture

CECEP (Leping) Photovoltaic Agricultural Science and Technology Co, .Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CECEP Leping Company”) locates in Luci village, Leping, Jiangxi province. The company was founded on January 25, 2013 with a registered capital fund of RMB 90 million and is wholly-owned by CECEP Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. that subordinates to CECEP, which is the only central enterprise taking energy conservation and environmental protection as main business, regulated by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. CECEP is also the largest technology and service-oriented industrial group with strong capacity and great competitive ability in energy conservation and environmental protection field.

According to the journalist, the main business of the company is divided into two parts: solar power generation and pollution-free mushroom.Chenfeng, the principal of the company, told the journalist of China Daily.com that CECEP Leping Company has built a 20MW agricultural greenhouse photovoltaic power station in Luci village, Leping to combine solar energy photovoltaic power generation with modern agricultural greenhouse.

With a total investment of RMB 350 million, the project covers an area of 1100 mu, including an exemplary modern green house and 49 united greenhouses. The greenhouses are used to produce green, organic and pollution-free products. In the southern wall of the greenhouse, solar panels are installed with a capacity of 20MWP and an averaging on-grid electrical power of 20.2576 million KWH per year, the product value of which is above RMB 20 million. Compared with thermal power generation of the same capacity, it saves 6320.37 tons of standard coal per year and reduces the emission of 151.16 tons/year of SO2, 2130.75 tons/year of smoke, 29.92 tons/year of NOx, 2660.42 tons/year of ash, which leads to a win-win situation of environment protection and benefits.

The project of 20MW agricultural greenhouse photovoltaic power station, on the one hand, installs solar panel on the roof to produce clean energy; And on the other hand, the project adopts green and pollution-free planting methods as well as standard organic agricultural products management to produce pollution-free green agricultural products, and it also takes indutrial means to promote the development of mordern high-efficiency agriculture. The project complys with national industrial policy and it results in favorable social and economic benefits.

By combining new energy with modern agriculture, CECEP Leping Company further expanded its industrial chain, which is the strategic innovation, transforming and upgrading of the company in the aspect of sustainable development. After operation, the project will further promote the Leping vegetable industry that is titled “Jiangnan vegetable village”. Meanwhile, it is of great significance for the development of local vegetable industry, flowers and plants industry, forestry and fruit growing industry as well as large-scale agriculture.

Planting under the power-generating roof

At present, CECEP Leping Company mainly grows green and pollution-free shiitake mushroom in the photovoltaic greenhouse. As one of the major edible mushrooms, shiitake mushroom is titled “the summit of plant food”, which is not only delicious and fragrant but also nutritious.Shiitake mushroom can increase the immunity of human body and help the development of bones and teeth of children. People consider it as health care products of low fat and high protein, which is favored by customers.

Photovoltaic agriculture is pollution-free, and it is constantly changing the land. By building greenhouse on the agricltural land and adopting green and pollution-free planting methods, the quality of shiitake mushroom has been greatly improved.Through strict accordance with the standard management and agricultural standardized production of organic planting, the safety production is achieved and the safety of shiitake mushroom is guaranteed.

The factory site of CECEP Leping Company occupied a land of 6000 m2, including warehouse of raw material, material-mixing workshop, packaging workshop, sterilization workshop, inoculating workshop and fungus-producing workshop. Major equipments are autoclaved sterilization, large-scale mixing machine, bagging machine, inoculation machine as well as 16 united sheds for hairy fungus, 33 mushroom producing sheds, 1 shed with constant temperature and a refrigeratory of 1500 square meters.The mushroom-stick product line is designed to produce 40 thousand bags every day, and the product line began pilot production in July, 2014.

As for planting measures, the company maily adopts strip cropping pattern, which is to build bedding plane on the ground to let the mushroom-stick lean against This planting measure is simple in facility, low in investment, uniform in humiture, simple in operation, convenient in management, good in mushroom-producing, large in quantity, and suitable for planting shiitake mushroom in large scope.

According to the introduction, one mushroom-producing shed in this producing area occupied an area of about seven mus, which can be used to place 60 thousand mushroom-sticks. The production cycle of each mushroom-stick is from November to April of the next year, during which about 0.8kg to 0.9kg shiitake mushroom can be produced. According to the present market price, each mushroom-stick values about RMB 12, and the production value of a mushroom-producing shed in one production cycle is about RMB 600thousand to RMB 700 thousand. With 33 mushroom producing sheds, the production value in one production cycle is acbout RMB 20 million. After the energy expenditure of mushroom-stick is exhausted, it can be used as fertilizer or be sold to power plant as fuel. After the whole industrial chain, nothing is residual.

The developing pattern of photovoltaic agriculture is energy-saving and environment-protecting. By installing solar panel on the greenhouse roof, the pattern of generating electricity on the roof and planting under the roof is realized, and the land is utilized comprehensively and efficiently. Atomizing irrigation system is applied in the greenhouse to save water resource. The harmful light is blocked by the solar panel on the roof, which is helpful to drive away the pests that hide in the plantings so as to reduce the using of pesticide and guarantee the food safety. The light of internal greenhouse is supplemented by supplementary lighting technology, which does not affect the power generating process on the roof and satisfies the development of agriculture. It is a revolutionary innovation in the fields of food agriculture and agricltural equipment.

The rosy prospect of the combination of industry and agriculture

In CECEP Leping Company, the whole process of agricultural production has achieved high automation, which makes it a high standard, high level and a leading model of modern agriculture. It is known that the company has only 20 managing staff, so it is in need of labor force in the planting, processing and transporting processes.

In 2015, the company had a new future plan. Chen Feng, principal of the company told the journalist that: first and foremost, the company will promote the construction of the landscape corridor of the pollution-free shiitake mushroom sightseeing and picking garden, and improve the planting and sales of green and organic pollution-free shiitake mushroom; they will actively extend industrial chain and develop the product series of cordyceps militaris and pleurotus eryngii; they will build the industrial park into an integrated mushroom-producing base with productivity, ecology, science education, amusement, tourism and involvement; they will do active research on the valuable nursery stock in Jiangxi and accelerate the construction of Western Jiangxi Plants and Flowers World, which will be the largest logistical, trading and information center of flowers and plants in China.

Secondly, through the construction of major projects, they will strive to develop the special agricultural products that are of advantages, establish and expand the economic organizations specializing in the cooperation between agricultural leading enterprises and farmers, promote the expanded industrial chain of scaled and specialized production so as to increase agricultural income as well as farmers’ income.

Integrating agricultural resource and creating an urban agricultural brand will also be a future developing road of CECEP Leping Company.
