On the afternoon of April 18, the Group convened a special session of its Leading Group for the CECEP Yangtze River Economic Belt Pollution Control Main Platform. The meeting was called to fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important directives on driving highquality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, to review and deliberate the Group’s threeyear action plan for largescale protection of the Yangtze, and to finalize the 2025 assessment and incentive indicators for key secondtier subsidiaries and related regional centers. Cao Huabin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party, Deputy General Manager, and Deputy Leader of the Leading Group, attended and delivered the keynote address.
Cao stressed that, first, all parties must elevate their political awareness, continually strengthen their sense of responsibility and mission in the Yangtze protection effort, and relentlessly improve their professional capabilities and core competitiveness in order to demonstrate greater commitment. Second, practical measures must be detailed and enforced: the threeyear action plan and its associated performance targets should be integrated into a cohesive implementation framework, with clear accountability and closedloop management to ensure every task is carried out thoroughly and yields tangible results. Third, execution efficiency must be bolstered by leveraging performance assessments, incentive mechanisms, and Discipline Inspection Commission oversight to rigorously supervise and drive the completion of critical tasks at high standards and quality.
Leaders and responsible officers from the Group’s Yangtze Protection Division, the Discipline Inspection Office, the Planning and Program Center, relevant regional centers, and key subsidiaries were all in attendance.
