On the afternoon of June 30, Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of CECEP, met with Teresa Cheng, Secretary-General of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed), at the Group's headquarters. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening practical cooperation. Zhu Qingfeng, Chief Accountant of CECEP, attended the meeting.

Liao welcomed Teresa Cheng and introduced CECEP's core business portfolio and strategic development plan. He noted that, as a central state-owned enterprise specializing in energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP has remained firmly committed to implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization. Through years of development, the Group has accumulated extensive practical experience and a series of core technologies in its principal business areas. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, CECEP will further develop its international business framework, step up its global expansion efforts, and strive to build a world-class energy conservation and environmental protection industrial group. He said that IOMed enjoys distinctive advantages in resolving international disputes, particularly commercial disputes, through its efficient, convenient and authoritative mediation services, offering broad prospects for cooperation between the two sides. CECEP looks forward to deepening cooperation with IOMed in areas including mediation of foreign-related disputes, the development of foreign-related compliance systems and the expansion of overseas business, thereby making positive contributions to building a clean and beautiful world and advancing global governance initiatives.
Teresa Cheng thanked CECEP for its warm reception and introduced IOMed's role and development plan. She said that, as an intergovernmental international legal organization dedicated to resolving international disputes through mediation, IOMed is committed to providing friendly, flexible, cost-effective and convenient solutions for various types of international disputes and places great importance on supporting central state-owned enterprises in participating in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. As CECEP is accelerating the expansion of its overseas business, the two sides enjoy broad prospects for cooperation. IOMed looks forward to strengthening cooperation with CECEP in enhancing foreign-related rule of law capabilities, training professionals in foreign-related legal affairs and coordinating overseas business development, with a view to achieving mutual benefit and coordinated development.
