On April 24, two infrastructure projects constructed by China Geo-engineering Corporation– the 12-city Water Supply Project in Côte d’Ivoire and the Marakabei-Monontsa Asphalt Road Upgrade Project in Lesotho – were selected as 2024 "Small yet Impactful" Model Demonstration Projects by the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA).

Organized by CECEP, the lead coordinator of the initiative, the event brought together 13 central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to sign a joint pledge establishing a green and low-carbon data industrial consortium.
