On September 2, the 8th meeting of the China-Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee was held in Beijing. Ding Xuexiang, Vice Premier of the State Council, and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks. At the invitation of the China Chamber of International Commerce, Liao Jiasheng, Chairman of the Group, participated in the meeting.
Jointly initiated in 2013 by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Kazakhstan’s Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund, the China-Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee is the first bilateral business cooperation mechanism established between China and a Central Asian country. With the theme “Cooperation for a Shared Future”, the meeting brought together representatives from government departments, business associations and enterprises of both countries. Representatives from the Group’s Cooperation Department also attended the event.
